Should Your Brand React to Post Bundling? | Social You Should Know

Facebook Bundling 101

Facebook is trying to consolidate brand/publisher posting by collapsing multiple posts into one in an effort that’s currently packaged as a test. Ignite Strategy Director, Kailee VanDamia, explains it all and shares four tips for dealing with the change in this interesting post.

Major Twitter Changes Coming Soon

At Twitter’s recent analyst day, the social network announced a series of changes to their platform. In pursuit to combine real-time and relevant content, Twitter plans to deliver a snapshot that would feature the things that are currently happening, as opposed to blasting your feed with repetitive tweets. Look for decreased reach for “copycat posts” as a result. Other changes involve native video, instant timeline and better private messaging.

Pinterest and Instagram: Fastest Growing Social Networks

In the last six months (Q1 to Q3 2014), Tumblr active users grew 120%, narrowly beating Pinterest’s 111% growth. Instagram added 64%, while LinkedIn added 54% and Twitter only 26%. Facebook added only 2%, but that’s on a base of pretty much the whole planet. Google+ grew only 16%, which is a potential problem given their modest base.

As you head into the Holiday week, consider that Facebook is trying to build Facebook at Work. Color me skeptical. But some fashion brands are definitely rocking Instagram. Worth a look.
