How to Vary Your Content and Twitter Ad Retargeting: Social You Should Know

Twitter Now Allows Ad Retargeting

Twitter is helping brands better target their ads by enabling them to retarget website visitors or people who match particular email addresses. They’ve done this by opening their ad platform to some third party services. Unlike Facebook, they are also helping users by making it very simple to opt out of all retargeting by checking a single box in their account settings. In fact, their “Text in Images” help section still notes that “images in your ads, sponsored stories and cover photo for your Page can include text that meets our general Advertising Guidelines, but may not include more than 20% text in the image.” Sadly, the rule continues.

On the way out, a quick shout out to Ignite Social Media’s own Chase Holfelder, who was interviewed by Fast Company for his innovative Face Mashups video project. Very fun.

Not as cool? This horrible new reality show project: “Social Media Star.” I kid you not…
