Top Three Ignite Social Media & Carusele Social Campaigns of 2015

Social campaigns are a great way to complement ongoing content and social media strategies. Here I’ve highlighted three of the most impressive campaigns executed by Ignite Social Media and Carusele this year.

Pyrex 100

Client: World Kitchen // Pyrex

Keys to Success: This campaign took advantage of authentic content created by influencers and fans, which drove high engagement throughout the program. Spanning across multiple channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and Google+, this campaign took a holistic approach and hit audiences everywhere they engage. A #Pyrex100 Twitter party helped amp up the excitement and engagement even more.

Hashtag Hotel

Client: Carlson-Rezidor Hotel Group // Club Carlson

Objective(s): Extend awareness of the Q1 Global Offer

Results: 43 Million Impressions // 25% Increase in Followers // Hashtag used 18,000 times // Sent over 1,000 participants to ClubCarlson.com, resulting in direct revenue for the brand

Keys to Success: In the second iteration of this campaign, the @ClubCarlson Twitter handle was made private for 12 hours to host what is essentially one big Twitter party. People could only join the event if they followed the handle BEFORE the event kicked off, making it very exclusive. New followers were rewarded with 1,000 Club Carlson points just for following. During the event, followers engaged with the brand and influencers to chat all things travel, while also being entered to win prizes. Major giveaways were grouped into packages: Business With Fun, Relaxing Vacation, Adventure Seeker, and as a result, users were more enticed to participate with prizes and giveaways that resonated with their lifestyles. This campaign has done so well that the clients, Club Carlson members and influencers have all requested that this become an annual event! Hashtag Hotel is even being messaged as a Club Carlson member benefit now.

Faces Behind Hunger

Client: ConAgra Foods // Feeding America // Child Hunger Ends Here

Objective(s): Drive awareness of the Child Hunger Ends Here program and its code entry component.

Results: 52 Million Impressions // 23,000 Engagements // 2,470 Meals Donated

Keys to Success: This campaign paired content creators with Feeding America food banks in 13 cities to spotlight a “Hunger Hero” in the community. Through thoughtful storytelling and breathtaking photos, ConAgra was able to use these heroes to increase awareness for childhood hunger issues and encourage others to get involved. One of the easiest ways people could help was through entering codes found on select ConAgra Foods products. To increase code entries, two #CodePowerHour Twitter parties were hosted by influencers and these drove a large amount of direct code entries and generated additional awareness. An added bonus to this program is that the brand now has a library of images to use for future social media content.
