Jul 06 Some Social Media Things That Made Us Laugh This Month
We love when brands think outside of the box and try something a little different in their campaigns on social. You may have read our social media roundup of best in class brand social voices. We’ve put together a few brand examples that made us laugh recently—hope you enjoy as much as we do.
In case you’ve never heard of them, Chubbies makes men’s swim trunks. The stretchiest in fact. To get their main selling point across, they created this video and shared it on Facebook. How can you not laugh at a grown man doing a split?
In case you missed it, Wendy’s has been breaking the internet with their hilarious (and very bold) responses to fans (and non-fans) on social media.
Turns out their sass isn’t exclusive to Twitter. Since last month, Wendy’s and Pure Water have been facing off against each other by slinging witty insults back and forth across the road in the city of Lubbock. “You want beef, Wendy’s? You’ve got it,” read the Pure Water sign that started it all.

Our #client Gillette has a unique tone on social media—serious with a little bit of sass mixed in. A customer switched from Gillette to a competitor, but then learned that the competitor wasn’t the brand for them. Gillette saw an opportunity to engage with this fan in a funny way that extended the conversation online and provided a little entertainment to those following along.
