It’s no secret that marketing to millennials requires non-invasive marketing practices. They don’t respond to in your face tactics and are adamantly opposed to any brands that make them feel like they are being “targeted”. According to Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter and Pandora there are 4 key tips to get the attention of 18-34 year olds.I’ve spent the past 20+ years marketing to men, women, teens, tweens, Boomers, Gen Yers, Gen Xers, Asians, Latinos, Arab-Americans, and African Americans and have learned these tips have a place no matter who the audience is you’re trying to reach.

Twitter and Facebook Take Advantage of Moments

There are many “moments” in our lives. Some we want to cherish forever. Others we’d like to quickly forget. Your feelings about how these “moments” are remembered could greatly change depending on which Moments tool you prefer. Both Twitter and Facebook have announced features called Moments (Twitter’s is alternatively called Project Lightning until the launch later this year) but they differ greatly.  Facebook’s pull forgotten pics from your library, while Twitter’s version pulls tweets and photos from live events and breaking news. Both aggregate content and place it at the top of the feed for easier access.

Some Snapchat Fun Around the Ignite Office

This week we held a fantastic Dip Day Challenge at Ignite. We do these every so often in order to rally the troops together and relax. However, this week our self-proclaimed chefs and in house foodies shared their best dip recipes and we all voted for our favorite. Our own Emily Spurlock took the challenge to the next level and created the first ever Ignite Snapchat Cooking Demo. Her dish was not only yummy but she makes it look fun and easy to make.
