Top 50 Branded Facebook Fan Pages – October 2010

In a strong month for fan growth (average growth of the top 50 was 22.19% in October), we’ve had a change in the top 5 branded Facebook fan pages since September, with YouTube edging out Starbucks for the #2 spot on the list. Converse All Stars broke into the top 10 and MTV continued its strong run, growing over 47% in the month of October alone.

It was a strong month for these top fan pages, although certain pages fared better than others.

Biggest Movers

The top 50 branded Facebook fan pages moved around quite a bit in October, and the fastest movers were:

  • Playstation, up 8 to #29
  • Blackberry, up 8 to #40
  • Taco Bell, up 5 to #32
  • MTV, up 4 to #11
  • Monster Energy, up 4 to #21
  • Forever 21, up 4 to #39

Biggest Losers

Only one fan page in the Top 50 lost fans in October (Chase Community Giving, losing 0.43% of fans), and the pages that lost the most in terms of ranking were:

  • Chase Community Giving, down 7 to #45
  • Kellogg’s Pop Tarts, down 6 to #48
  • Big Prize Giveaways, down 6 to #37
  • Chick-fil-A, down 5 to #34
  • Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, down 4 to #50
  • Ferrero Rocher, down 4 to #26

Fastest Growth, New to the List

Only BMW (debuting at #38) and Abercrombie & Fitch (debuting at #43) are new to the list this month, displacing Playfish and Dunkin’ Donuts, which fell off the list.

These fan pages grew at the fastest rate in October:

  • MTV, up 47.40%
  • Playstation, up 46.42%
  • Monster Energy, up 37.91%
  • Blackberry, up 37.08%
  • Converse, up 37.02% (while sister page Converse All Stars was up 36.35%)
