06 Mar Twitter Testing New Search and Trend Features
With all the Facebook news as of late, it appears that Twitter thought they would join the user interface changing game as well. Select users are now able to see twitter search directly at the top of their profile pages. Along with that you have the ability to see trends via a drop down menu. What is most compelling is what happens after you search; Twitter delivers a Matching Users section which is highlighting related users based off of your keyword and sorting them by the most followers. This could be a great way to obtain new followers.They have also added a featured user section which simply highlights what appears to be some of the top twitter users in the system.It will be interesting to see if Twitter decides to roll this out to the rest of the public or if they decide to pull a Google and never do so.Watch the screencast that I took of the new features:
