Top 50 Branded Facebook Fan Pages – November 2011

A new brand broke into the top 20 largest Branded Facebook Fan Pages in our November ranking of the Top 50 pages, displacing a brand that hasn’t worked hard enough to keep their page active in recent months. And a couple of pages had huge increases in fans since last month, while most grew only 1-3%.

Biggest Movers

A retailer (Black Friday?) and a clothing brand (we ate too much at Thanksgiving and needed new pants?) really grew their fan bases in November:

  1. Target, grew 25% this month alone, shooting up 10 spots to get on the list at #42;
  2. Levi’s, which was October’s fastest grower, grew 17% and increased 5 spots to #31;
  3. Walmart continues it’s run, growing 9% and moving up 4 spots to #25;
  4. Pepsi also grew 9%, which helped them move up 3 spots to #45;
  5. Burberry grew 7%, but that wasn’t quite enough to pass Starburst, who remains one spot above them.

Biggest Losers

Nutella, which posts only once a week, grew 2% but fell out of the Top 20. We also said goodbye to Sony Ericsson, whose 3 point drop pushed them out of the Top 50.

  1. Mountain Dew, whose social media work we’ve profiled earlier, fell 3 spots to #48;
  2. Victoria’s Secret Pink fell 2 spots to #27;
  3. Blackberry fell 2 spots to #34;
  4. Zoosk, which got on the list in the last few months, fell 2 spots to #46;
  5. DC Shoes, fell 2 spots to #49.
