Don’t Like the New Facebook Feed? Here’s How to Change it Back

If you don’t like the new Facebook news feed, where the top ranked news is shown first, and you have to click over to see your live feed, here’s how to change it back.

Open the “More” Link on the Left

On the upper left hand side of your page, under the Facebook logo, click the small “more” link.

Move Status Updates to the Top

Drag the “Status Updates” to the top, above News Feed.

Still a bit erratic…

In my testing, this works fairly well. On some refreshes I still get the new layout, others it’s “fixed.” So you may see an issue or two in the short term.  But that’s all you need to do!

UPDATE (10/26, 10:52a): Note that this will only share “Status Updates” and not links and other items people share. So you still may want to click “News Feed” (now your second button on the left) periodically to get a different view of what your friends are sharing.
