Account Manager

Our Account Managers serve as the link between the client and internal agency team. They’ll lead some of our most prestigious accounts, which are some of the largest, most visible brands in the world. Account Managers report to the Account Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primary point of contact to client
  • Leads client and internal meetings (some travel may be required)
  • Reviews all briefs, timelines and meeting documents

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Metrics Coordinator

Coordinators on our metrics teams serve an essential role by quickly yet diligently collecting data from several sources needed for a specialist to analyze a client’s social media performance.   The ideal metrics coordinator can multi-task well and adapt quickly to changes in social media that will impact data collection. This position reports to the Metrics Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Metrics coordinators are responsible for tracking and reporting on social media channels as well as several social media initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 1-2 years’ work experience preferred
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (Google, Omniture, etc.)

Metrics Specialists

Specialists on our metrics teams are dedicated to following social channels and social programs for our clients as well and gleaning insights on performance using dimensions such as historical, competitive and goal data.  In addition, they are responsible for giving clients a view of the overall online chatter in their respective competitive set using a suite of social monitoring tools. Office Manager/Executive Assistant

The Office Manger/Executive Assistant for our Detroit office will be responsible for general daily agency support needs including supply orders, equipment management, office appearance, meeting set up and vendor management.  This position also entails providing day-to-day administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer.

Internship: Business Development Coordinator

Ignite Social Media is looking for 1 intern to assist with business development. This team’s role is to manage and respond to incoming services inquiries and manage and develop proposals for potential clients. This position reports to the Director of Business Development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research to inform brainstorms and strategy development for potential new clients
  • Attend brainstorm and strategy sessions for new business proposals
  • Assist in writing proposals including implementation plans, budget and timelines
  • Assist with project management and internal coordination among teams
  • Assist in developing marketing plans and identifying opportunities for agency development

Senior Strategist

The Senior Strategist position will focus on creating and delivering social media strategies to our clients.  To this end, the Senior Strategist will work collaboratively with other internal teams and with clients in the development of strategies that are sound and will meet client business objectives.  The Senior Strategist will report directly to the Director of Strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducting research and analysis, creating complete social media strategies, and setting initial key performance indicators
  • Developing ongoing recommendations and identifying new opportunities for clients
  • Work collaboratively with designers, developers, metrics, and key stakeholders to develop social media strategies that meet client goals and can be executed within time and budget
  • Supporting ongoing new business efforts, including proposal development and pitching

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 5-7 years experience in digital, social, or mobile marketing on either the client or agency side
  • Ability to develop and present social media strategies and campaigns for large brands
  • Previous social media management experience either internally or externally is required, with preference to those who have managed social media projects from start to finish

Interactive Designer

The Interactive Designer will work with our Creative team to conceptualize and design microsites, custom social network pages, blogs and mobile web sites and/or apps.  This designer may often work collaboratively with a senior interactive designer and/or creative director, along with a copywriter, to develop designs. This designer will also work with the strategy, UX, and Tech teams to produce promotions that satisfy strategic goals. The Interactive Designer will report to the Creative Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work collaboratively with account managers, copywriters, senior designer(s), web developers, strategists, and engagement specialists to conceptualize and design promotions that meet strategic goals
  • Make sure that all design aspects of his/her particular projects are programmable, and executable within the pre-designated timeline
  • Build and prep Photoshop files properly for Tech use in programming
  • Ability to meet deadlines and follow agency workflow and communication tools (Workzone, Lync, email)
  • Expected to be available to work after hours, if needed, to assist senior level creatives to complete projects

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 2-4 years marketing experience – Social Media experience a plus
  • Must have proven ability to provide innovative design while maintaining integrity of brand guidelines
  • Ability to following creative direction from a team leader or senior designer
  • Ability to work with a writer to collaborate on final designs

Community Engagement Specialist

The Community Engagement Specialist is an important asset not only to us and our clients, but also to our clients’ millions of fans and followers. This means that the Community Engagement Specialist serves as a liaison between our clients and their consumers, thus striving to meet client goals while ensuring that all content and promotions executed on the channels provide value to the fans and followers. Thus, strong written and interpersonal communication skills are essential qualities in a Community Engagement Specialist. This position reports to the Director of Community Engagement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Researching and drafting content for our clients’ social channels
  • Posting content to and moderating channels (including removing inappropriate content and responding to fan inquiries)
  • Analyzing content performance and adapting as necessary to meet and exceed client goals

Community Relations/Contest Specialist

The Community Relations Specialist serves as one of our resident experts in all things contests, sweepstakes, and promotions. This position requires a lot of multitasking by juggling multiple promotions, but necessitates an extreme attention to detail to ensure all of our bases are covered. The Community Relations Specialist works closely with account managers and strategists to obtain promotion details as well as web developers and engagement specialists to ensure campaign execution runs smoothly. This position reports to the Director of Community Engagement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work collaboratively with account managers, web developers, strategists, and engagement specialists to develop and execute contests and campaigns that meet client goals
  • Coordinate with vendors on contest details such as development of Official Rules and prize fulfillment
  • Manage ongoing contests, including contacting winners and responding to inquiries regarding contests or other promotions
  • Research and develop targeted blog rolls
  • Conduct blogger outreach to promote clients’ campaigns, contests, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 2-4 years minimum experience in contest/sweepstakes management on either agency or vendor side
  • Extensive knowledge of how online contests and sweepstakes work within social channels (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple contests and sweepstakes with a strong attention to detail

Web Developer

The Web Developer will work with our Tech team to develop and support microsites, custom social network pages, mobile applications, and API integration projects, among other applications for our clients.  To this end, the Web Developer will work collaboratively with the strategy, design, and metric teams in the development of applications.  The Web Developer will report to the Senior Developer and the Director of Technology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 2-4 years experience
  • Work collaboratively with user experience analysts, front-end developers, and key stakeholders to develop engaging, standards-compliant applications that meet client goals
  • Provide ongoing technical support for web application development projects
  • Participate in technology research, application/platform evaluation, and testing

  • Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, and PHP

Account Director

We are seeking an Account Director to oversee one of our largest accounts.  This position entails working very closely overseeing the account team to ensure all client needs are met by guiding account managers’ activities, while maintaining an effective level of direct contact with senior members of the client team.  The Account Director will also be responsible for effectively managing the growth of the account.  It is also expected that the Account Director will work to facilitate the professional development and growth of account managers and represent the agency to the client.  This position reports to the COO although frequent contact with the President would be expected.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Establish and manage positive client relationships
  • Review campaign conceptual directions to ensure client objectives remain in focus
  • Review all high level strategic, reporting, creative and engagement plans and other pertinent document produced by agency prior to submission to clients
  • Ensure that financial management of accounts meets agency and client standards
  • Meet with account managers on a regular basis to review their activities
  • Perform annual goal setting with team members on an individual basis and provides semi-annual reviews of goals

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 4-7 years (minimum) experience working in an agency or related setting in mid to-sr level marketing position
  • A solid understanding of the social media industry and industry trends
  • Understanding of budget preparation and management
  • Advanced verbal and written communications skills
