The world of social media is a perfect fit for Olivia, who believes in ability of words to connect, to convey, and to transform.

Olivia wrote her first book at age 7, titled The Mother Who Couldn’t Stop Going to the Grocery Store. Though she has moved on to more complex topics and a larger audience, her passion for writing is unchanged. She received a B.A. from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and after packing up her laptop and grits, hit the road headed toward the bright lights of Gotham.

She cut her New York City writing chops at a Midtown communications firm specializing in writing for non-profit organizations such as The Metropolitan Opera and The National Trust For Historic Preservation. Since then, she has nurtured multiple corporate blogs from infancy into a healthy adolescence, word wrangled marketing campaigns for clients like InDemand and Sirius, and helped envision promotional event concepts for Planned Parenthood NYC.

Her words have also aided in launching visionary small businesses, shaped dauntingly colossal e-commerce websites, and shown up in feminist magazines and niche anthologies. She continues to wax philosophical on her blog at linguisticallysmitten.blogspot.com, dreaming of someday officially earning her place as “Queen of Word Nerds.”
