Kevin has been working in social media before anyone bothered calling it that, managing community and influencer engagement programs for Microsoft as early as 2001. Over the course of a 7 year stay at Microsoft and 13 years in marketing, Kevin has built exemplary programs and campaigns for products as varied as online communities, developer tools, server infrastructure, and online search and services.

Among other things, Kevin built a brand ambassador program for college students, helped launch an international non-profit for technology user group leaders, and drove blogger outreach for one of the largest brands on the Web. Kevin recently acted as Director of Marketing and Partner Development for WebJunction, a non-profit e-learning community for the library field funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

A lifetime “Left Coast” resident, Kevin is a recent transplant to North Carolina and is still adjusting to the idea of living 3 hours in the future. He holds a BS in History and Business from the University of Oregon and an MBA from the University of Washington in Seattle. He also went to the same high school as Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, a bit of trivia he’s happy to share at office holiday parties.

At Ignite Social Media, Kevin develops relationships with our key accounts, and builds partnerships with third-party firms to evaluate the best platforms and services for our clients.

When not in the office or on the road, Kevin dotes on his wife and three daughters and obsesses over his beloved Oregon Ducks.
